About MamVillage

Hi, I’m Gemma, mam of a 6 year old son and daughter under 1, I’m also a wife, daughter and sister.

I have a background in events management and sales, having spent over a decade organising events in the corporate and sporting industries, and more recently organising community outdoor events. I’m currently enjoying a year off from paid work, while on maternity leave with my daughter.

Although this is my second baby, I have still experienced feelings of overwhelm, while trying to navigate through the ups and downs of the baby bubble, feeling baffled by the amount of information available and not being able to see the wood for the trees.

I had a wonderful maternity leave experience with my son, building some life-long friendships that were lifelines during those lonely days and nights. So, I’d like to offer other mams that same sense of community, while also providing invaluable information in one place.

No more need for the midnight google searches! And perhaps more importantly access to a village of mams with the same shared experience of being on the motherhood journey during maternity leave and beyond.
